Internet Video #10

Tyrone Glover Sparring Session

Talk about a BEAST! Tyrone Glover is an extremely talented MMA fighter and in this week's video you'll get the chance to see him in a free flowing sparring session that displays some absolutely incredible techniques. If you ever get a chance to see Tyrone fight (MMA, BJJ, Who Cares???) then take it!

Enjoy!

BJJ Wrestling Practice

Do you want to be a real champion? Then you have to train like these guys. There are no favorites in this video. Sperry, Bustamante, Arona, everyone works and Darrel Gholar treats them all the same. I just wish this clip was a little longer; however, even this short video gives valuable insight into how hard championship level teams work.

Enjoy!

The Wild Boyz Try BJJ

This weeks video come from the same guys who have done everything from testing rubber bullets and high voltage tazers, on them selves, to standing blind folded in front of an enraged 2000 pound yak . . . except this time they do something that has some real potential danger, they head to Brazil and spend a little time at Royler Gracie's Jiu-Jitsu school . . . and that's where the hilarity ensues. (Royler actually chokes Chris Pondius out)

Genki Sudo at The Westside Tournament

If you know who Genki Sudo is then you're a fan . . . unless you are mentally deranged. He is easily one of the most entertaining fighters out there and while he is known more for his unusual fighting style his reputation as a fighter doesn't seem to extend to include his incredible grappling skills. This guy can roll.

This weeks video of the week features Genki throttling the locals at The Westside grappling tournament. Even the most technically jaded amongst us will enjoy watching Genki ripping out incredible sub after incredible sub with equally impressive transitions into the finishes.

Enjoy!

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu on ESPN

This week's video of the week comes to us from an old ESPN feature on the Gracie family and their part in the development of the UFC. The best part of the video is listening to Helio talk about the early days of Jiu-Jitsu and the vision he lays out of the early days of Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil.

One of the funny parts of the video, just before they talk about Helio beating up Japanese Jiu-Jitsu fighters, happens when the editors show pictures of Kimura and a few short clips of Helio and Kimura's fight together.

The video actually seems to have been chopped off a little early but it still holds some valuable information and it can almost serve as an historical primer for anyone wanting to know how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu developed and how it gave birth to modern MMA and the UFC.
